Every invoice you pay funds real environmental work
As an AOIT partner, every invoice you pay does more than cover your IT. It automatically funds tree planting and carbon removal, at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly how, so you always know what’s included and what’s optional. The Fund sits alongside our wider environmental and social commitments, from verified green hosting to how we support our local community.
Our impact so far
They’re a running total for the whole scheme, not a breakdown of any individual account, so there’s no partner-specific detail here, just the real-world impact we’ve generated together so far.
What happens automatically, on every invoice
For every invoice you pay, we fund:
- 2 trees planted, supporting global reforestation projects
- 12kg of carbon removal, funded through methods including afforestation, biochar, blue carbon, and regenerative agriculture, aligned with UN SDG 13 (Climate Action) and UN SDG 15 (Life on Land)
Both are delivered through our sustainability partners, Ecologi and Northern Canopy CIC. We choose between them at our discretion depending on the project, both achieve the same outcome. There’s nothing to set up or opt into, and there’s no way to opt out either. This isn’t a chargeable extra, it’s funded from our own profits, so it happens automatically, on every invoice, the moment it’s paid.
Invoices over £1,000
If your invoice comes to more than £1,000, we also include 1m² of UK habitat restoration, complimentary, supporting projects such as wildflower meadows, peatland, and seagrass restoration here in the UK, aligned with UN SDG 13 and UN SDG 15. Most partners are invoiced once a month, so in practice this lines up with monthly spend, but it’s the individual invoice total that counts.
Want to fund more?
Everything above happens by default. If you’d like to go further, the following are available on request, for a small additional charge:
- Extra trees or carbon removal, beyond the complimentary amount included on every invoice
- Carbon avoidance, funding projects that prevent emissions happening in the first place, distinct from removal. Verified by Gold Standard and VCS, covering projects such as landfill gas capture and nature-based avoidance schemes
- Additional habitat restoration, beyond the complimentary allowance for invoices over £1,000
Get in touch with your Partner Success Manager to add any of these to your account.
The Impact Round-Up
Alongside the automatic contributions above, you can choose to give more with the Impact Round-Up: round up your invoice to the nearest £10, or set a fixed monthly amount instead. It can be adjusted or cancelled at any time, there’s no minimum commitment.
VAT is applied to Impact Round-Up contributions as required by law. The remaining amount is paid out annually, and goes toward UK environmental causes at AOIT’s discretion, including tree planting, habitat restoration, conservation sponsorships such as Northumberland Wildlife Trust, and other projects like renewable energy, wherever we judge it will do the most good. If you’d like to specify a preference between our delivery partners for the extra amount you’re contributing, just let us know.
We’ll talk you through the Impact Round-Up when you first come on board as a partner. If you decide to add it later, or want to change or cancel it, just ask your Partner Success Manager and they’ll sort it out.
Our delivery partners
We work with two sustainability partners to deliver the trees, carbon removal, avoidance, and restoration described above:
- Ecologi, a platform funding climate projects worldwide
- Northern Canopy CIC, a UK environmental education organisation
We choose between them at our discretion for each contribution. Both are held to the same standard, and both achieve the same real-world outcome.
See your own contributions
Every contribution made on your behalf, the automatic trees and carbon removal on your invoices, and anything you’ve added through the Impact Round-Up, is tracked against your account specifically. Log in to your partner portal to see your company’s own running total, broken down by what’s automatic and what’s optional. This view is private to your account. It isn’t shared with other partners, and no one outside your company can see it.

A few things worth being upfront about
We’re not a registered charity. AOIT Networks is a private limited company. The Climate Impact Fund is money we choose to spend on environmental causes, not a charitable donation scheme, and contributions to it aren’t eligible for Gift Aid or similar tax relief.
Fund spend is at our discretion. Unlike the trees and carbon removal on your invoice, which are fixed, automatic, and traceable, money raised through the optional Fund is pooled and spent on whichever UK environmental causes we judge will do the most good at the time. We don’t promise a specific outcome for a specific contribution.
We’ll report on it. We plan to share regular updates on what the Fund has supported and what our automatic per-invoice contributions have added up to.
